Miley Cyrus is set to host the 2015 edition of the MTV Video Music Awards, it was announced on Monday.

The pop songstress revealed the exciting news on social media, posting a fun picture of herself in a wacky alien constume and wearing and a sandwich sign with the words, “MTV won’t let me perform” and “So I’m hosting this year’s VMA’s.”

It’s safe to say that we should expect at least one joke about Miley’s 2013 Video Music Awards performance controversy that surrounded her risqué dancing with Robin Thicke and brought national attention to twerking.

At 2014’s award show, she made headlines in a very different way, sending a homeless 22-year old man to accept her award for Video of the Year for “Wrecking Ball” as part of a campaign to raise money and awareness for homeless youth.

The MTV Video Music Awards will air on August 30 on MTV. Stay tuned!
