Mija has just shared a recap video with fans of an exciting string of appearances she recently made at the Movement Festival in Detroit, Michigan.
One of the whirlwind highlights was an impromptu DJ gig at Assemble Sound, which is a reclcaimed performance space and studio for artists locally set in an abandoned church. Talk about an interesting setting…
One of the artists explained to the camera, “About a year and a half ago, a bunch of musicians who were sick of watching fans move out of the city were like, we gotta create a spot where all these different producers who are doing their things in private warehouse spaces or home studios converge to co-write together.” Mija is seen setting up her gear in front of multiple rows of old church pews.
Check out the recap video, shot by Ryan Farber, and don’t forget to listen to Mija’s recently released collab with Vindata, “Better,” who also appear in the clip.
