Major Lazer is back to debut their music video for “Light It Up” featuring Nyla and Fuse ODG, off their 2015 Peace is the Mission LP.

Shot in Ghana, director Sam Pilling spoke in a press release and described the inspiration and concept behind the video.

“Because Fuse’s family is from Ghana, we thought it would bring a really interest aesthetic to film the video there. Delving deeper into Ghanaian culture, we found that their traditional funeral ceremonies perfectly exemplify this sense of coming together to rise against sadness.”

The “Light It Up” video release follows a strong start of 2016 for Diplo, the group’s founder, who won Grammy awards for Best Dance Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Album with Justin Bieber and Skrillex.

Major Lazer isn’t losing any momentum yet either. They will be performing at a freeshow Tribuna José Martí at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba. This will be a momentous occasion as the group will be one of the first major American acts to play in the country since diplomatic ties were restored with the United States.
