Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have gained a well-earned reputation for thier effort on stunning visuals to accompany their earworm tracks.
Wednesday night was no exception to this rule, when the Seattle hip-hop duo brought their latest single “Dance Off” from their This Unruly Mess I’ve Made LP to The Tonight Show stage.
But to gives things a twist, they gave their track an in-office treatment. The performance begins in a pretty bland and slightly more corporate setting, with the guys dressed in work clothes– think dress shirts, ties, and blazers.
They toil away in little cubicles before they gather their fellow desk jockeys in a mass walkout and head towards the elevator through 30 Rock. Soon enough, they’re in the lobby of the Rock Center and busting onto Jimmy Fallon‘s studio in their regular stage outfits. What a performance!
In related news, according to Rap Radar, the pair presented hip-hop legends Melle Mel and Grandmaster Caz with their very first platinum plaques thanks to their contributions on Macklemore’s “Downtown” single.
