Jack Ü (the superstar EDM force helmed by Diplo and Skrillex) has been cruising on their giant Justin Bieber-featured “Where Are Ü Now?” hit wave since its release in February, but now the two producers are slowing it down and touching our hearts a little more with their latest single — “To Ü.”
Assisted by the UK’s own Aluna Francis of AlunaGeorge, the AG Rojas-directed video dropped today and brings us into the clip’s romantic haze that really exemplifies young love. It features real-life couples of various genders and backgrounds in Detroit as their proudly show intimate affection for their partners.
Aluna also gets in on the action while carelessly running through a field and embracing her own lover. The vintage-esque video is filled with subdued colors and raw gritty emotions. It’s sure to be loved by Larry Clark fans, as it echoes cult films such as Kids and Ken Park.
The music video encompasses a different vibe from the Jack Ü’s past videos and it does leave you wondering, “What did I just watch?” However, it has a sweet, sentimetal vibe that fits the lyrics of the lovebound song. Check it out down below!
