Do we have yet another “Song of the Summer” for 2016?
DJ Snake, the EDM mastermind behind hits like “Lean On” and “Turn Down For What,” has teamed up with Australian singer George Maple on their new single titled “Talk.” And it’s definitely a moody one, guys.
Maple croons about extreme heartbreak over a piano-laden melody: “Touch of your skin, burring my vision / Seeing the same film again / Closer you pull me / Under the table / Sign of how this might end.” Her heartful vocals have a backdrop of jovial marimbas that lay heavily against damp percussion and driving piano. Although his productions seem to stray further and further from his live show, you have to admit that this new side of DJ Snake is pretty impressive.
As the third single from DJ Snake’s upcoming album, the track is so very rich and seductive. It’s characteristic of his attention to detail and his knack for creating radio-ready anthems. It might very well continue his trend of shelling out platinums hits and seeing how his past five singles have been critically-acclaimed, it’s not too far off.
Snake (real name William Grigahcine) teased his fans by sharing lyrics from “Talk” ahead of its official release. We’re almost certain that the new release will continue his hot streak. Check out the track down below!
